We're launching the pilot of Heyouthere Exchange.
Exchanging skills can help people access support for their project without needing a financial budget. A sort of bartering, but direct barter has a limitation: it only works when two people happen to need something from each other.
Heyouthere Exchange is testing a different approach: Effort Credits (EFT). Contribute your expertise to someone else's project, earn credits, and use them later to receive support for your project from someone else in the group.
Early-stage projects and professionals who can contribute expertise. You can start by offering, and say later what your own project needs.
Help someone → earn EFT → get help later from another person in the group.
We collect proposals and discuss them with each participant, to set the foundations of the system. Nothing goes public without your agreement.
Exchange lets early-stage projects and professionals exchange skills and time, and turns that help into Effort Credits you can spend later wherever support is needed.
Coaching, a logo, feedback on a plan. Whatever you are good at, and how many credits you ask for it.
When you help someone, you earn credits that reflect the effort you put in.
Spend the credits you earned on any other service in the group, for your own project.
An Effort Credit measures the effort behind an exchange, the time it takes and the expertise it requires. No money changes hands. Every exchange creates value twice, for whoever receives the help and for whoever gives it.
Credits exist to exchange services between Heyouthere members. They hold value inside the group and cannot be converted into cash.
It could be a few hours of coaching, feedback on a business plan, designing a logo, teaching a skill, creating a marketing campaign, even sports training, or helping solve a specific challenge. No field is left out. Any skill can be exchanged to get support for your project.
This form does not commit you to an exchange. It helps us understand the first offers and needs for the pilot.
I've got your message. I'll review it and get back to you within a few days.
We'll reply by email in the next few days.
